What is the Main Street Program?
The Main Street Program is community leaders, business people and private individuals working together to strengthen and support the local economy and make Barnesville a better place to live and work. Becoming a Main Street Member includes the personal satisfaction of knowing you are helping to strengthen a viable and vibrant business district with community pride and support


Who Leads the Main Street Program?
The Main Street Program is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board sets policy, provides direction to the committee activities and overseas the duties of the Program Director. 


Why Join a Committee?
An important aspect of becoming a member is becoming involved and having a voice in the direction of the Main Street Program and its activities. It is also a great way for you to get involved in your community.


What does the Main Street Program Do?
The Main Street Program’s four points- Organization, Design, Promotion & Economic Restructuring- focus the activities that the program undertakes. The committees look for opportunities to enhance the visual impact of Barnesville and create fun activities to bring residents together and increase the awareness of what the businesses in Barnesville have to offer. 


Does it just help "Main Street"?
No! The Main Street Program is designed to work and assist the entire community. The name is from a national community revitalization program active in many states across the nation.
